- I have always loved food. As a child growing up on a strawberry farm, I learned early the importance of appreciating good quality clean food and supporting local farmers. I try to maintain that same ethic today by cooking food that tastes delicious, is budget friendly, and is sustainable to the farmer as well as the land. I am very lucky that that same strawberry farm is now part of an organic co-operative of over 20 farms that provide the highest quality meat, vegetables, fruit and baked goods as well as honey and maple syrup to people all over Ontario. I also have a dog named Ruby and a rather encouraging taste tester named Simon who inspire me to cook and eat and laugh..I am very lucky. Enjoy my recipes and finally, enjoy eating for heavens sake!
